Ayra Starr, the prominent Afrobeats artist, has expressed her outrage over the tragic murder of Idowu Christianah, a third-year student at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB). Reports indicate that Christianah was allegedly killed by her friend, Ayomide Adeleye, who is suspected to be a serial killer.

In a statement on her official X account, Ayra Starr condemned this heinous act and called for immediate justice for the victim. The singer highlighted the pressing need to combat violence against women, asserting that they are entitled to better protection and treatment.

She wrote, “Stop killing us! Stop raping us! Women deserve better #JusticeForChristianah,

Ayra Starr’s plea comes in light of findings from an ongoing investigation, which revealed that Adeleye, who was a close associate of Christianah, kidnapped, murdered, and subsequently buried her remains on his property. Furthermore, it has been revealed that Adeleye had previously been associated with the deaths of his ex-girlfriend and sister in separate incidents occurring in 2018 and 2020.
