Rema has addressed the speculation regarding his use of bat imagery and dark themes during his appearance on the “Kids Take Over” podcast.

He described the allegations of being a “devil worshiper” as the most absurd rumor, remarking, “It’s crazy… I didn’t respond because it’s not important. It’s a waste of time.”

Rema clarified that the symbols present in his artwork are deeply rooted in Edo culture, highlighting their cultural importance rather than any association with the occult.

He emphasized that his artistic expression is a reflection of his heritage and creative vision.

“I incorporate symbols from my Edo culture… it’s about my roots, not devil worship,” Rema stated.

Furthermore, Rema shared insights about his 2020 collaboration with Drake on the song “Mention Me,” offering a glimpse into their creative process.

In other news, Davido has articulated the reasons for his significant involvement in the Edo State governorship election.

The singer’s late mother, Imade Veronica Adeleke, was originally from Edo State, establishing a personal link to the region.

Nevertheless, Davido asserts that his interest transcends familial connections.

“As a Nigerian, I believe it’s essential to ensure free and fair elections,” Davido stated on social media.

He has been outspoken in his criticism of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) regarding alleged electoral irregularities.

This marks not the first occasion on which Davido has championed electoral integrity; he previously raised his voice during the Osun State gubernatorial election, in which his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, was a candidate.

Additionally, Davido has publicly supported the PDP candidate, Asue Ighodalo, in the race for the Edo governorship.

Through his influential platform, Davido aligns with other Nigerians in advocating for a peaceful and transparent electoral process.
