Renowned Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has publicly denounced a scammer named Prosper for misappropriating her identity to solicit financial contributions.
She posted a screenshot revealing the scammer’s use of her name and image to mislead unsuspecting individuals into transferring money.
In one of the WhatsApp conversations she shared, the scammer requested a loan of N200,000 from a victim, assuring them of repayment the next day.
While cautioning her followers against such fraudulent activities, Funke stated, “Pls beware!!! This is not from me!! This is not from me!! Prosper!!! E no go prosper for you o!!! Ole!!!”
She further urged the public to remain vigilant and avoid succumbing to such deceitful schemes.
