Emmanuel Philip, a prominent media personality in Nigeria, known as Naijashimadun Baba Egbe, has openly criticized DJ Cuppy regarding her recent baptism celebration.

DJ Cuppy, whose real name is Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, has made a profound commitment by being baptized, thereby dedicating her life to the Christian faith. The billionaire heiress shared a video that captured the entire baptism ceremony.

After the religious event, the artist organized a celebratory after party, which was attended by her father, Femi Otedola, her mother, Nana Otedola, her sister, Teni Otedola, along with close friends and members of her church community.

Naijashimadun expressed his discontent with the after party on his Instagram account.

He suggested that DJ Cuppy should avoid publicizing her life journey, which encompasses her evolution from a Disc Jockey to an academic and now to a baptized individual.

Naijashimadun deemed the idea of celebrating a religious milestone such as baptism with a party to be inappropriate. He also advised the 32-year-old artist to contemplate marriage.

The video sparked a range of reactions, as social media users flooded the comments section with their views.

Calling her with her real name, he said, “Florence, have patience, you remembered the last time when you wanted to be a DJ, we supported you. You went ahead to bring a white fiancée to day, we accepted. Florence, you said you want to school, the one you used 10 year to learn, we accepted. Now, you decided to give your life to Christ, you still did after party. You can now bring husband home ooo”.
