Auwal Ahmad Dankode, an employee of NAHCO, has been honored for his integrity with a commendation letter, a promotion, and a financial reward after he returned an impressive sum of $10,000 (approximately N16 million) that a passenger had inadvertently left in their seat on a flight.
It is noteworthy that while performing his cleaning responsibilities on the Egypt Air MS878 aircraft at Kano airport, Dankode discovered a substantial amount of cash – $10,000 – and, demonstrating remarkable honesty, he promptly reported it to the station manager, ensuring it was returned to its rightful owner.
In recognition of his actions, NAHCO celebrated Dankode at their headquarters located in Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) and also acknowledged his commendable deed on the social media platform X, highlighting his exceptional honesty and integrity.
