Rabiu Kwankwaso, the National leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has publicly reaffirmed his dedication to addressing Nigeria’s economic issues by the year 2027.
Kwankwaso also stated that the party aims to fortify its state branches to effectively challenge the All Progressives Congress in the upcoming 2027 elections.
This effort is part of a larger strategy designed to wrest control from the APC in the future.
During a recent visit to the Osun State party Secretariat, located along the Osogbo-Ikirun road in Osogbo over the weekend, the emphasis was placed on the importance of revitalizing state chapters to ensure efficient governance.
A statement issued to the media by the State Party Chairman, Dr. Tosin Odeyemi, highlighted that Kwankwaso, represented by a three-member delegation led by Dr. Rahila Mukhtar, confirmed that the NNPP remains resolute as an opposition party in the country and is ready to tackle the economic hardships faced by the citizens.
He noted that reports from various states, especially Osun, bring him satisfaction as the national leader. While recognizing the challenges that lie ahead towards 2027, he underscored their preparedness to meet them.
“Nigerians have so far realised that various leaders we have been having are intentionally using poverty to improvise citizens to cajole them again in 2027 with crumbs. I will not deceive them but rescue the country from the present quagmire.
“NNPP, as a party, have good intentions for the masses. We have started mobilising people all over. We are equipping our state secretariats and we are also providing them with vehicles to ease their movement”.
In his opening remarks, Osun NNPP Chairman, Dr. Odeyemi, commended Kwankwaso for being a leader who prioritizes the welfare of the people.
He assured that he and his working committee would persist in their efforts to make the party attractive to the citizens of Osun.
He commended Dr. Rahila along with her associates, Dr. Muhammad Khalil and Alhaji Abdusalam Abdulateef, for their unwavering dedication to the truth and their partnership with the party in its mission to rescue Nigeria.
