Media figure Toke Makinwa has disclosed that music legend D’banj is the sole Nigerian man who has ever provided her with financial assistance without any expectation of reciprocity.
In a widely shared video on social media, the esteemed broadcaster recounted her initial meeting with the artist and the level of trust he placed in her.
She noted that years later, as she embarked on her professional journey, D’banj was present to offer his encouragement. During her book launch, he committed to donating ₦10 million, which he fulfilled the very next morning at 8 a.m.
Toke Makinwa further emphasized that he is the only individual in Nigeria who has given her money freely, without any demands, referring to him as her significant supporter.
