Media figure Daddy Freeze has commented on the remarkable donation of N105 million made by Afrobeat artist Rema to a church in Benin.
According to Gistreel, Rema visited the church where he attended services in his youth and, prior to his departure, contributed N105 million to support various projects within the church.
On his Instagram account, Daddy Freeze articulated his perspective on the donation, noting that Rema’s gesture was a means of expressing gratitude to the church that had provided financial assistance to his family during challenging periods.
Freeze further asserted that the church merits even greater recognition for its beneficial influence.
His words: “NO, Rema did not GIVE to the Church; He GAVE back to the Church. When his family was going through a rough patch, the Church was there for them financially. He is now returning the favor. There’s a huge difference.
“Why did he give to that particular church? Because when he L0$T his dad, the church opened a shop for his mum. That was part of what helped his folks put food on the table during a difficult period. So unlike you going to sow your seed in church, Rema is taking part of his ‘Harvest’ to those who sowed their seed in him. As far as I’m concerned he should even give them more. God bless the pastor that sowed into his family.”
